<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a caliper body for a vehicular disc brake while serving a core to form a lower hole of a cylinder hole when casting the right/left-side mounting caliper bodies, and to provide the caliper bodies. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The plurality of cylinder holes 5, 6 and an opening portion 3d are formed using a casting mold which is provided with one core 20 having a lower hole forming part 21 and an opening portion forming part 22. The lower hole forming part 21 consists of a piston sliding portion lower hole forming portion 21a and a large diameter lower hole forming portion 21b on a continuous basis. The outer diameter of the piston sliding portion lower hole forming portion 21a is smaller than that of a piston sliding portion 7a of a small diameter cylinder hole 7, and the outer diameter of the large diameter lower hole forming portion 21b is larger than that of a piston sliding portion 7a of the large diameter cylinder hole 5. A stepped portion is formed between the large diameter lower hole forming portion 21b and the piston sliding portion lower hole forming portion 21a into a planer shape perpendicular to the axis of the piston sliding portion lower hole forming portion 21a.
