PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely save data necessary to restart a game from its state at the time of power shut-off when the power supply is restored when accidental power shut-off such as a power failure occurs. Ž
SOLUTION: In a power failure occurrence NMI (nonmaskable interrupt) processing, a CPU confirms whether a power shut-off flag is already set or not. When the power shut-off flag is already set, processing thereafter will not be executed. When the power shut-off flag is not set, following processing against the power shut-off will be executed. First, all the output ports are turned off, and next, the contents of respective registers are stored in a backup RAM region if necessary. Then, an appropriate initial value is set in a backup checking data region in the backup RAM region, the checking data operation is executed, and checking data are set in a backup parity data region. After that, the power shut-off flag is set, and access to the RAM is prohibited. Then, the CPU starts a loop processing. Ž
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
