PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the reproduction delay of content without using a large capacity storage. SOLUTION: A communication apparatus includes: a request transmission unit 101 configured to transmit a request based on the acquisition request of content position information indicating the position of the content on a network; a response processing rule storage unit 103 configured to store a response processing rule defining processing for a response; and a response reception unit 102 configured to receive the response corresponding to the request, search the response processing rule storage unit based on the received response, detect the processing corresponding to the received response in accordance with the response processing rule, execute one of the processes including the continuation of the redirect operation, the stoppage of the redirect operation and the generation of a new request as the detected processing, and in the case of executing the stoppage of the redirect operation, acquire the content position information from the received response and transmit it.
