<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately specify at low cost the positions of a person or an article using radio communications in a relatively small area such as an indoor space and to manage them. <P>SOLUTION: A position management system 10 includes: a position management server device 12; and a plurality of IC tags capable of performing radio communications with a server device via a reader/writer device 14A and of performing direct radio communications with the other IC tags.
