PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network interface allowing a virtual machine to perform communication at high speed, and allowing continuation of calculation even when failure occurs in a computer. SOLUTION: The network interface for a computer system including an active-system host including the virtual machine and a virtual machine monitor, and a standby-system host connected to the active-system host via a network includes a packet acquisition means, and a packet management means. The packet acquisition means receives a packet to be transmitted to the network from the virtual machine.
