<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulk current injection transformer having superior characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The BCI transformer 500 having a magnetic core 510 and a plurality of windings 520, 530 is provided. The magnetic core 510 is configured to surround one or more tested conductors. Each of a plurality of the windings 520, 530 is wound, at least partially around a longitudinal dimension of the magnetic core 510, and is spaced out and prepared in the direction of azimuth angle of this magnetic core 510. When an injection testis to be carried out, a power supply 580 is connected to supply the current to each of a plurality of the windings 520, 530 at each "feed point". The disposition of a plurality of the feed points around the magnetic core 510 allows the current flowing in a plurality of the windings 520, 530 to generate a magnetic density that is uniform in the direction of the azimuth angle in the magnetic core 510. This uniform magnetic density allows the BCI transformer 500 to excite only the common-mode current in the tested conductor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
