A protective headwear configured so that a shield member for covering substantially the entire part of the face of the wearer is stowed within a headwear body, wherein the shield member can be stowed within the headwear body so as not be a hindrance to the wearer. A protective headwear (1) provided with: a headwear body (3) formed in a hemispherical shell shape and protecting the head of the wearer; a shield member (5) for protecting substantially the entire part of the face of the wearer; and a guide means (7) for guiding the shield member (5) so that the shield member (5) moves along the curved surface of the headwear body (3) between a stowed position (P1) at which the shield member (5) is stowed within the headwear body (3) and a covering position (P3) at which the shield member (5) covers substantially the entire part of the face of the wearer. |
