METHOD OF TREATMENT AND BIOASSAY INVOLVING MACROPHAGE MIGRATION INHIBITORY FACTOR (MIF) AS CARDIAC-DERIVED MYOCARDIAL DEPRESSANT FACTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic method for lowering prevalence rate relating to cardiac depression, cardiac dysfunction and burn injury-associated cardiac dysfunction to which therapeutic means are not available at present, and for protecting heart.

SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition includes a therapeutically effective amount of at least one anti-MIF antibody and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Further, a pharmaceutical composition includes a therapeutically effective amount of at least one anti-CD74 antibody and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Further, a pharmaceutical composition includes a therapeutically effective amount of at least one anti-TNFR antibody; a therapeutically effective amount of at least one anti-MIF antibody; and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
