<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning device capable of discriminating a human body and a thing, recognizing their positions, shapes, sizes, colors and the like, and detecting a temperature of an object of temperature detection, so that an energy-saving operation is performed by controlling air-conditioning on the basis of the information, and the air-conditioning can be performed in an optimum state in the environment where the human body stays. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioning device includes a camera 2, an image processing section 7 for discriminating the human body and the thing from an image obtained from the camera 2, and recognizing their positions, shapes, sizes and colors, an infrared ray sensor 3, a direction changing section 4 for changing the direction of the infrared ray sensor 3, and control sections (8, 9, 10) controlling the direction changing section 4, detecting a temperature from the information of the infrared ray sensor 3, and controlling the setting for air-conditioning on the basis of the image information from the image processing section 7 and the temperature information from the infrared ray sensor 3.
