PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side frame member for seat back of vehicles eat, which is formed inexpensively by making parts usable in common. SOLUTION: The side frame member 1 is arranged on a right and left portion of a seat back 12 and separately includes: a first vertical member 3 arranged on either right side or left side of the seat back 12; a second vertical member 4 arranged behind the first vertical member 3; and an attaching member 5 to which a reclining device 15 is attached, the reclining device being arranged under the first and second vertical members 3, 4 and connecting a seat cushion 11 and the seat back 12 so as to be adjusted in angle. The upper part of the first vertical member 3 and the upper part of the second vertical member 4 are connected to each other.
