PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which utilizes a liquid crystal panel and for which maintenance such as the exchange of light source members, the repair or the like is simply conducted. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device 1, an image is displayed by irradiating the liquid crystal panel 7 with light emitted from the light source members 15 wherein the light source members 15 and the liquid crystal panel 7 are separated from each other, the light source members 15 are mounted to a casing 5 freely detachably, the liquid crystal panel 7 is mounted to the casing 5 in a freely rotatable manner between a closing position to cover the light source members 15 and an opening position to expose the light source members 15, and the light source members 15 are made attachable and detachable by positioning the liquid crystal panel 7 at the opening position.
