<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify which direction an incident light enters from. <P>SOLUTION: A data display/sensor device 100 includes: a light detecting part having a light receiving surface and adapted to detect incident light received by the light receiving surface; and a direction identifying part 122, which specifies the incident direction of the light based on the result of comparison between a contour in the light receiving surface of the light detected by the light detecting part when the light emitted from a light emitting device enters the light receiving surface and a predetermined contour of the part of light emitted by the emitting device.
