摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an amount of gas leakage particularly in a sealing mechanism intended to seal in both of liquid and gas. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing mechanism is for sealing in a fluid comprised of both of liquid and gas between a housing and a shaft, and has a first seal which is mounted to the inner circumference of the shaft hole of the housing to contact the circumferential surface of the shaft slidably and closely and a second seal which is mounted to the inner circumference of the shaft hole of the housing on the sealed fluid-side of the first seal. The second seal is provided with a structure that suppresses the movement amount of gas between the second seal and the shaft. Both of the first and second seals are formed of an oil seal provided with a seal lip. The oil seal forming the second seal is made of a material having a smaller surface roughness of lip sliding surface as compared with the oil seal forming the first seal to set a smaller sucking amount of liquid between the oil seal and the shaft. A communication path which makes the room on the sealed fluid-side communicate with the room between both seals is provided between the second seal and the housing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
