Plant and process for producing biogas

The present invention relates to a process and a plant for producing biogas, comprising a hydrolytic phase, an acidogenic-acetogenic phase and a methanogenic phase, carried out in separate reactors and under controlled pH, temperature and stirring rate conditions, wherein the hydrolytic phase is carried out under aerobic conditions, preferably with oxygen insufflation. In an embodiment, the acetogenic phase is maintained at pH ‰¥ 6, preferably at pH of 6.0 to 7.0, more preferably 6.2 to 6.5. In another embodiment, each reactor of the plant comprises a coating with net and inert substances arranged along the reactor walls and/or a heating system, preferably a heating coil, arranged along the internal wall of each reactor and at a distance therefrom.
