FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, and specifically to ophthalmology, and can be used for prediction of conventional treatment rates of anisometropic hyperopia in children. Substance of the invention implies optical coherent tomography of the structures of anterior piece of an eye and estimate of scleral structure density. That is ensured by the fact that on the video image, a rectangle area of 0.6ù1.4 cm (that corresponds to a real area of 0.3ù0.7 mm) with its longer side perpendicular to the equator of eye, behind the attachement point of the external or internal rectus muscles is selected. The selected area is analysed for its average brightness in 256 luminance ranges, and if the average brightness does not exceed 120 relative units, the conventional treatment that aims at the anteroposterior axis (APA) of eye is considered to be indicated. In case the average brightness exceeds 120 relative units, sclera of the examined eye is excessively dense and rigid, in this connection the actions aiming at its stretching, do not lead to lengthening of the APA of eye. ^ EFFECT: method provides the life-time sclera density description within the equator of an eyeball that allows predicting conventional treatment rates of anisometropic hyperopia in children. ^ 1 tbl, 2 ex |
