PURPOSE: A control method in an engine starting process of a hybrid vehicle is provided to minimize the amount of air inserted into a cylinder through an induction system when operating the engine of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A control method in an engine starting process of a hybrid vehicle comprises the following steps: determining a brake-off state at an idle stop state of the engine(S16); initiating the engine starting by a motor cranking after calculating an engine moving torque(S17,S18); blocking air inserted to a cylinder by closing a throttle valve; opening the throttle valve when the rotation value of the engine is over a first fixed standard; and completing the engine starting by initiating a fuel injection after on/off controlling the operation of a cylinder de-activation(S26).
