IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which reduces the possibility that an image forming job is implemented before stabilization of an image than before while improving operability of an input operation that should be implemented by a servicing person etc. when a consumable component which is not automatically detected has been replaced with a new component. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A button 157 for registering the fact that the consumable component has been replaced with the new component is displayed on a liquid crystal display panel on a control panel when a front cover is opened (Fig.6(a)). A counter value indicating the amount of the used consumable component is reset and also implementation of an image stabilization process for the new consumable component is accepted when a touch input of the button 157 is made. The image stabilization process is first implemented and then jobs that are standing by are sequentially implemented even when the standing-by jobs are present at the point of time when the front cover is closed after input by the button 157.
