PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an opening/closing operating force for an engine hood without an increase in the number of components by employing a simple structure. SOLUTION: In this opening/closing cover device of construction machinery, a top opening of an engine compartment 18 housing an engine 19 and exhaust system equipment such as a muffler 20 is openably/closably covered with the engine hood 21; and a cover body 22 for protecting the exhaust system equipment is provided on the undersurface side of the engine hood 21. The engine hood 21 and the cover body 22 are provided in such a manner as to be mutually independently turnable upward/downward, and connected together via a link mechanism 26, so as to reduce the opening/closing operating force for the engine hood 21.
