FEED ADDITIVE FOR ENHANCING RATE OF ACCUMULATION OF gamma-LINOLENIC ACID IN POULTRY PRODUCT AND FEED COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feed additive with which expense bearing of stock farmers can be reduced by minimizing use of expensive evening primrose seed oil and productivity of livestock can be raised by improving a rate of accumulation of γ-linolenic acid in the livestock, and a feed composition containing the same.

SOLUTION: The feed additive reinforced with γ-linolenic acid comprises liquid or powdery emulsified evening primrose seed oil obtained by diluting the evening primrose seed oil and subsequently concentrating the same, powdery hulls added in order to be mixed with the evening primrose seed oil and pulverize the mixture and an excipient added in order to mix the emulsified evening primrose seed oil with the powdery hulls to bring the mixture to a powdery formulation.
