<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound effect device, capable of reproducing surround sound by a voice receiver, and to provide an operating method for the device. <P>SOLUTION: The sound effect device 100 is equipped with a voice processor 120, which acquires at least one audio signal from a sound chip 180 to transform the audio signal into a surround signal, and a transmission unit 130 which transmits the surround signal to a voice receiver 190.
