<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grandrelle-tone polyester woven or knitted fabric that is suitably useful for sport shirt etc., has excellent sweat absorption, quick-drying properties, pilling properties and shape stability, spun-like feeling and clear grandrelle tone. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The grandrelle-tone polyester woven or knitted fabric uses a composite spun yarn comprising a cationic dye easily-dyeable polyester staple fiber A and a cationic dye poorly-staining polyester staple fiber B and comprises a single layer or two or more layers in which the composite spun yarn is used in at least a surface layer. The composite spun yarn has (1) a constitution of the staple fiber A and the staple fiber B in a mixing mass ratio of 10:90 to 70:30, (2) a multilayer structure in which the twist angle α of a fiber bundle constituting an outer layer part is larger than that of a fiber bundle constituting an inner layer and (3) at least one of the staple fiber A and the staple fiber B constituting the composite spun yarn, which has a modified cross section.
