The present invention relates to a hand-held extruder, comprising an extruder unit having an extruder screw, a drive unit having a motor and a gear box for driving the extruder screw, a hot air unit having a hot air nozzle (23), and an outer housing, which comprises an approximately cylindrical section (13), which is used as a handle for holding the hand-held extruder. In order to create a particularly compactly built, hand-operated device that has effective thermal isolation between the extruder unit and the hot-air unit, the present invention proposes that the hot air unit having the hot air nozzle (23) and the extruder unit having the extruder screw each be housed in a front device section in housings that are separated from each other, that is an extruder housing (10) and a hot air housing (11), the respective housing axes of which extend parallel or at a flat angle to each other, wherein the extruder housing and hot air housing of the front device section are connected to each other by way of a transition section (12) and lead into a common approximately cylindrical housing section (13) that is located behind the transition section in the axial direction and that comprises the handle for single-handed operation. |
