PURPOSE: A microporous separator or a separator for an electrode is provided to obtain improved thermal and mechanical properties in comparison with a conventional polyolefin separator and to secure the stability of a battery due to low shrinkage ratio at a high temperature. CONSTITUTION: A microporous separator or a separator for an electrode is obtained by irradiating radiation or an electron beam to a polymer microporous membrane which is manufactured using polyolefin through a dry method and a wet method. The polymer microporous membrane is manufactured using polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyethylene/polypropylene. The thickness of the membrane is 5-30 μm and the porosity of the membrane is 10-60%. |
