<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite membrane for use in a gas separation membrane, capable of separating specific species of gasses even from a mixed gas comprising steam and excellent in water resistance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The ethylene-vinyl alcohol polymer composite-membrane for use in a gas separation membrane is a composite membrane that includes an ethylene-vinyl alcohol polymer (A) comprising an ethylene group by 21 to 50 mol% and an amine compound (B), and shows weight retention of 60 to 100 wt.% subsequent to submerging the same in distilled water at a temperature of 60°C for three hours.
