<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mattress suitable for a hospital bed to assist turning-over of a patient. <P>SOLUTION: A module type mattress 14 includes a bottom face cover part 2104 and an upper face cover part 2106. An accepting base 2108 comprises a foot part 2110 and a trunk part 2112 combined with the foot part 2110 by a foot part fixing base plate 2114. A foam body cover core material 2118 is supported on a mounting base plate 2116 and accepted in the base 2108. A turning-over assist air bag 2120 is accepted on the foam body core material 2118 and combined with the mounting base plate 2116. An upper air bag 2122 is accepted on the turning-over assist air bag 2120 and similarly combined with the mounting base plate 2116. The upper face cover part 2106 provides a patient support face, is combined with the bottom face cover part 2104, and thereby defines the outer part cover 2102, and accept other mattress parts.
