<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection detection device and system, which provides a new detection method dispensing with a line exclusive to detection, a control line, a communication line, etc. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic device has: a connection terminal to which a slave apparatus is connected to supply electric power to the slave apparatus; a power supply means for supplying a voltage through the connection terminal; a voltage drop means provided between the power supply means and the connection terminal; and a detection means for detecting the state of connection of the slave apparatus to the connection terminal, by measuring a voltage drop produced in the voltage drop means when the slave apparatus is connected to the connection terminal and the voltage is supplied by the power supply means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
