<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally control the intermediate pressure by changing a suction volume ratio in a compressing mechanism having two compression chambers. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A compressor (1) includes: a first compressing mechanism (20) including a cylinder (21), which includes two cylinder chambers (C1, C2), and an annular piston (22b), which partitions the cylinder chambers (C1, C2) into an inner and an outer compression chambers (C1, C2); and a second compressing mechanism (30) mechanically connected to the first compressing mechanism (20). The two compression chambers (C1, C2) of the first compressing mechanism (20) and compression chambers (C3, C4) of the second compressing mechanism (30) structure a low-stage side compression chamber in one part of the compression chambers and a high-stage side compression chamber in the residual compression chambers. This compressor (1) includes a volume ratio changing means (70). The volume ratio changing means (70) changes a suction volume ratio as a ratio of a total value of the suction volume of the high-stage side compression chamber relative to a total value of the suction volume of the low-stage side compression chamber by changing volume of the first compressing mechanism (20).
