PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmental testing device without requiring an exclusive carrying mechanism for delivering a workpiece between a horizontal carrying passage and a vertical carrying passage, even when the vertical carrying passage exists in the middle of the horizontal carrying passage. SOLUTION: This environmental testing device 1 includes a horizontal carrying mechanism 13 for carrying the workpiece 2 along a first horizontal carrying passage 11, and a first vertical carrying mechanism 15 for carrying the workpiece 2 along a first vertical carrying passage 14. The first vertical carrying mechanism 15 has respective first horizontal shelves 20 for placing and vertically carrying the workpiece 2. The respective first horizontal shelves 20 are supported in a cantilever state, and move while temporarily stopping so as to constitute part of the first horizontal carrying passage 11. The horizontal carrying mechanism 13 carries the workpiece 2 on the first horizontal carrying passage 11 by a feed claw 34 extended in the horizontal carrying passage 11 from the feed end side of the respective first horizontal shelves 20 when the respective first horizontal shelves 20 constitute part of the horizontal carrying passage 11. Thus, the delivery of the workpiece 2 of the first horizontal carrying passage 11 and the first vertical carrying passage 14 can be performed by the horizontal carrying mechanism 13.
