<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet tension adjusting device and a recording device capable of stable conveyance without damaging a sheet by reducing tension irregularity of the sheet conveyed through a turn section. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The sheet tension adjusting device 40 adjusts a tension L of the sheet at the turn section 60 on a conveyance path for conveying the sheet. It includes an inner circumference guide 3 for guiding the sheet on the inner circumferential side of the turn section. The inner circumference guide is divided into an upstream guide member 4 and a downstream guide member 5 in a conveyance direction, wherein the upstream guide member is capable of swinging in a direction crossing the turn section around a fulcrum point 31 located at an upstream side end, and the downstream guide member is capable of swinging in a direction crossing the turn section around a fulcrum point 32 located at a downstream side end.
