摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of requiring the capacity of a quite larger capacitor than a realistic layout size in a driving method of allowing electric charge accumulated in conventional capacity to flow to light emitting elements to emit light (afterglow) to obtain desired brightness. <P>SOLUTION: Pixels having light emitting elements and a driving circuit connected to the light emitting elements and allowing the light emitting elements to emit light, are arranged in matrix shape, and a plurality of selection lines for applying selection signals to a plurality of pixel rows arranged in one direction, and a plurality of data lines for applying data signals to a plurality of pixel columns arranged in the other direction, are provided. The driving circuit has the capacitor and a switch for connecting the data lines to the capacitor by signals of the selection lines. A storage part is provided for storing image data of one frame for displaying image data of one screen portion, and a control circuit is provided for repeatedly outputting image data stored in the storage part, to a plurality of fields divided timewise.
