PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce effects of a detection error so as to charge a secondary battery, including a protection circuit, up to a desired charging state when charging the secondary battery. SOLUTION: A control device is used for controlling a battery circuit that includes a voltage detecting part for detecting a battery voltage, a battery protection circuit that stops a charging current when the battery voltage detected by the voltage detecting part exceeds a protection voltage, and a charging circuit that can change the charging current when charging a battery. The control device has an input interface that reads out the battery voltage detected by the voltage detecting part, a determining part that determines whether or not the read-out battery voltage approaches the protection voltage to a prescribed limit, an output interface that outputs a signal for controlling the charging current, and a current control part that limits the charging current to the prescribed limit through the output interface when determined that the battery voltage approaches the protection voltage to the prescribed limit.
