PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply display a situation around a vehicle, when approaching a specified place on a road. SOLUTION: A navigation apparatus acquires camera images around own vehicle, photographed by a camera (step S10). Then, when the distance from an own vehicle to a branching point or a merging point on a road is not less than a prescribed switching distance, the camera images acquired in the step S10 are displayed on a display monitor (step S70). When the distance from own vehicle to the branching point or merging point lies within the switching distance, stereoscopic images around own vehicle are displayed on the display monitor, based on the camera images, switched from the camera images (step S60).
