PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for treating individual virally-induced generalized shock and distress in breathing. SOLUTION: This method is a method of inducing individual antiviral response and includes a process of administrating an effective amount of LT-B blocking agent and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier to an individual. Especially it is a method for treating virally-induced generalized shock and distress in breathing and a method of inducing individual antiviral response and includes a process of administrating an effective amount of a medicine for blocking the bonding of lymphotoxin-βto its receptor and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier to the individual.
