The method involves achieving a maximum value of a simulated gradient in simulated slope-up and/or slope-down travel, when an actual travel direction of a particle spreader (3) runs parallel to a longitudinal direction of a measuring bench (1). The maximum value of the simulated gradient is achieved in simulated travel transverse to a slope and in layered line travel, when the actual travel direction of the spreader runs perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the bench. The spreader is set in an inclined position corresponding to the simulated gradient. An independent claim is also included for a device for measurement of spreading distribution for a particle spreader for centrifugal distribution of particles over a diffusion disk, comprising a fixed measuring bench.
