PURPOSE: A message service providing method and a communication terminal for performing the same are provided to directly supply telephone numbers of other people included in a text message to an idle screen of a communication terminal of a receiving user, thereby enabling the receiving user to directly attempt to call another person. CONSTITUTION: A number extracting module(214) determines whether a number is included in message contents written by a user. A number analyzing module(216) analyzes whether the extracted number is a telephone number of another person. If the telephone number of another person is included in the message contents written through the number analyzing module, a number identifier generating module(218) generates a number identifying unit. |
