PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a widely applicable hollow resin particle containing a filler at least in the resin constituting an outer wall face by a simple process without following a complicated process, and to provide the hollow resin particle containing the filler at least in the resin constituting the outer wall face. SOLUTION: The method for producing the filler-containing hollow resin particle includes polymerizing a polymerizable composition comprising the filler, a polymerizable monomer, an organic solvent and a polymerization initiator by a suspension polymerization of growing a polymer by using the filler as a nucleus.
