The suspension sub frame has cast-corner portions (1a,1b) in the end region. The cast corner portions are joined with each other by a cross brace (2) and a U-shaped cross beam (3) approximately lying opposite the cross brace. The side pieces of the cross beam are directed inwards to the vehicle center area. The cross beam is die-cast by welding and is joined with the cast-corner portions by profiled portions (4a,4b). Each profiled portion is welded with the cast-corner portions and also with the cross beam.
