<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a sound output upon changing program genres without giving a user a sense of discomfort. <P>SOLUTION: This broadcasting receiver includes: a program information acquiring means which acquires program information from a broadcast signal; a storing means which stores the program information acquired by the program information acquiring means; a channel selection detecting means which detects a channel selection operation; and a sound output control means which executes control for muting a sound output, which extracts genre information of a program of a selected channel from the program information stored in the storing means, and which adjusts the sound output on the basis of the extracted program genre information, when the channel selection detecting means detects the channel selection operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
