<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appropriate manual to a user by specifying an interface to which an information processing apparatus is connected. <P>SOLUTION: When any error is detected in a digital complex machine 10 (S1000), a CPU stores an error code corresponding to the error that occurs in the storage part of an occurrence error code (S1001). On the basis of information stored in the storage part of IF connection information, the CPU specifies an interface connected to a host PC or an interface connected to an information processing apparatus (S1002, S1005).
