PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a hot-dip plated steel strip of high quality with high productivity by adequately correcting the shape for every size of steel strips and by stably passing the sheet through a wiping part, in a process of hot-dip plating the steel strip, while correcting the shape or the like of the steel strip with a device for stabilizing the passage of the sheet. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method includes adjusting a position of a gas wiping nozzle in a sheet thickness direction of the steel strip so that the steel strip approaches the middle position between a pair of the gas wiping nozzles, or so that a coating weight of a plated metal approaches a target value, in a position in a width direction of the steel strip, at which an attractive force of an electromagnet of the device for stabilizing the passage of the sheet gives the least influence on the steel strip, specifically, in the position in the width direction of the steel strip, at which the amount of displacement of the steel strip due to the action of the electromagnet is the smallest.
