Oct. 3, 1957 [May 23, 1957], No. 31018/57 Class 52(2) In a reclining chair having a back and seat unit 15, 16 and a leg-rest 17 pivoted between fixed arm-rests 13 at 19, 22 respectively, flexible belts 18 or the like are attached to the back and leg-rest at 23, 24 respectively and are led over the armrests which are so shaped that the distance between point 23 and pivot 19 is greater than that between point 24 and pivot 22. Thus, for a given rearward swing of the back and seat unit, the leg-rest will be projected through a greater angle. The belts 18 may be concealed.
