PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save space by efficiently performing turning of wheels in a vehicle control device including a turning mechanism such as rear steering. SOLUTION: This vehicle control device controls a vehicle having the turning mechanism 11 for performing turning of the wheels 3 and variable suspensions 12 provided in the wheels 3. The vehicle control device includes a specifying means 31 for specifying a value of a prescribed parameter showing a danger that the wheels 3 and a body 10 of the vehicle interfere with each other and a control means 35 for controlling the variable suspensions 12 to limit operations of the variable suspensions 12 according to the specified value of the prescribed parameter when performing turning.
