<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronizing device for a transmission capable of stabilizing the rotation in idling of the transmission by preventing a shifting plunger from tumbling using a simple structure and preventing synchronizer rings from pushing a taper cone part of a drive pinion gear in the neutral condition. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The synchronizing device of the transmission using the shifting plunger 13 includes synchronizer rings 17a and 17b installed on the sides of the plunger 13 and magnets 23a and 23b installed in the neighborhood of those parts of the rings 17a and 17b which contact with the plunger 13 on both sides thereof in such a way as pinching the plunger 13, in such an arrangement that they are installed circumferentially in a plurality of places, whereby the plunger 13 is held in such a way as not tumbling in the axial direction with the aid of the magnetic force of the magnets.
