摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a difference between a reset level and a clipping electric potential smaller than the amount of voltage drop in a clipping unit. <P>SOLUTION: In a photoelectric conversion device, a photoelectric conversion unit, a charge-voltage conversion unit, a transfer unit for transferring a charge generated at the photoelectric conversion unit to the charge-voltage conversion unit, and an output unit for outputting a signal corresponding to the voltage converted by the charge-voltage conversion unit to a signal line are two-dimensionally arrayed. The photoelectric conversion device 400 for outputting a first signal to the signal line while the charge-voltage conversion unit is reset, and outputting a second signal to the signal line while the charge of the photoelectric conversion unit is transferred to the charge-voltage conversion unit by the transfer unit, for the sake of CDS processing, includes: a clipping unit 420 for clipping the voltage potential of the signal line; a retention volume 40; and a shift unit 30, and holds the voltage which is transferred to the signal line while at least the charge-voltage conversion unit is reset.
