摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a data electrode driving circuit in a plasma display device without sacrificing image display quality while achieving both suppression of motion picture false contours and fine gradation display. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of display combination sets having different combination numbers are prepared, signal levels of a red image signal, a green image signal and a blue image signal are compared with one another, and for an image signal of a color of which the relative signal level is less than a predetermined threshold, a display combination set having the number of combination smaller than that of a display combination set for an image signal of a color of which the relative signal level is the predetermined threshold and more is used.
