PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus reducing useless power consumption in accordance with a device use possibility for a user, and also to provide a power source control method, a power source control program, and a recording medium with the program recorded thereon.

SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus 100 has: a generation means 22 for generating power source control information 32 with a device use possibility for a user taken into consideration; and an execution means 24 for making power source control onto a power source unit on the basis of the power source control information 32 generated by the generation means 22.
