The method involves preheating combustion air by exhaust gas of a burner (11), and extracting additional energy from the exhaust gas of the burner for preheating fluid using a condensation heat exchanger. The temperature of the hot exhaust gas of the burner is reduced to 95 degree centigrade to 110 degree centigrade during heating the combustion air of the burner. The combustion air of the burner is heated to 170 degree centigrade to 190 degree centigrade, and heated feed water is supplied to a thermal deaerator (12).
