The device has a holding element (7) connected to a vehicle part, and a resting element (9) connected to a lining part. The resting element is gripped in the holding element. The resting element has a barbed hook engaging at an opening of the holding element at a back side. The holding element and the resting element are brought to a pre-mounting condition by a securing device (12) and connected with each other. The holding element has a release device (15) releasing the securing device during guiding of holding element into a recess (6) in a body part (1).
