PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery case for an electric vehicle for firmly fixing an insert member to a tray member. SOLUTION: The tray member 51 of the battery case includes a peripheral wall 54 having a resin part 200 and a metallic insert member 210a arranged along the inner surface of the resin part 200. An outsert nut 322 which is one example of insertion mounting members is inserted into a nut insertion hole 330 formed in the peripheral wall 54. The outsert nut 322 is fixed to a plate member 321. An insert cap nut 310 having an annular groove 313 is embedded into the resin of the peripheral wall 54. One end of the insert cap nut 310 is fixed to the insert member 210a. The other end of the insert cap nut 310 is closed. A bolt 323 which is a fastening member is screwed into the insert cap nut 310.
