PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method of mounting a semiconductor device on a substrate are provided to prevent the loss of a substrate by transferring the substrate to a mounting position. CONSTITUTION: A feeder(120) supplies a semiconductor parts. A picker portion(130) mounts a semiconductor parts on a substrate by picking up the semiconductor parts from the feeder. A transport unit(140) transfers the substrate. A sensor(150) senses the entrance of the substrate in a reference location. A controller(160) controls the transfer of the substrate. The controller receives the information of the semiconductor part from a feeder and determines a position for mounting the semiconductor part on the substrate.
